Patrick W. Nook, AIA, NCARB
President / Principal Architect
Patrick has been the principal architect for PWN Architects and Planners, Inc. for over thirty years. His experience in land planning, building design and construction has proven to be invaluable to our clients and as a mentor to our staff on all levels. As a land planner, he has demonstrated expertise in determining the highest and best use of land and sensitivity to yields necessary for economical development. He has been very successful with very difficult zoning requests on behalf of his clients.
Patrick vast experience in building design includes multifamily apartments, condominiums and seniors facilities, regional and neighborhood retail centers, hospitality, restaurants, medical and professional office facilities, religious facilities, schools, health clubs, and industrial facilities. Patrick’s work experience includes 3 years with a major developer in Colorado as director of architecture where he developed a keen sense of cost sensible design. He also has extensive work experience with well known, respected and established architects in the Denver area during his early development. As part of his education, he studied in Rome, Italy for one year which developed his passion for timeless architectural design.
Patrick is NCARB certified and is licensed to practice architecture in the following states: Arizona, Colorado, California, Florida, Kansas, Hawaii, Michigan, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.
Patrick enjoys the challenge of putting together the appropriate talent within the firm to address the needs of our clients and gives his personal attention to all projects, from start to finish. He is proud of the fact that he is very accessible to all clients at all times.
In his free time, Patrick enjoys travel, golf, fishing, attending sporting events, and spending time with his two Golden Retrievers Cookie and Red.
